Description
Gastec tubes for use with the precision pumps to accurately detect and measure over 500 gases and vapours. Gastec detector tubes are used worldwide in manufacturing plants, refineries, chemical plants, dry cleaners and all workplaces where gas detection for employee safety is required.
The colorimetric glass tubes are filled with an absorbent material, usually silica gel impregnated with a chemical reagent. When air is drawn through the tube by the Gastec pump the reagents react in the presence of the target gas to give a colour change. The length of this colour change on the tube is proportional to the concentration of the gas present - the calibration scale is printed on the tube for immediate readout by the user.

- The most accurate detector tube system available
- Minimal pump strokes required
- Precision piston pump
- Easy draw, single pump stroke action
- Clear, precise and easy-to-read colour change
- Long tube shelf life - most tubes have a 3 year shelf life
- Hermetically sealed tubes
- Calibration scales printed on the tubes for each production lot, allowing instant readout and eliminating variations in tube diameter or reagents
- Low cost per measurement
- Complies with British standard BSEN1231:1997
- ISO registered
- NATO approved
- Batch number traceability on all tubes
